First, you’ve provided great value over a long period for free, so I thank you whole-heartedly for that. However…

Your explanation as to why the podcast is ending is quite frustrating. Your audience is relatively intelligent and would probably respond well to whatever the real reason is, whether it be that it doesn’t fit Sitepoint’s business model, or that the hosts are too busy, or their interests have moved on, or that it takes too much effort (especially with those full transcripts), or whatever it is. We’d understand!

Maybe it is more complicated, but surely a goodbye blog post with some details, even if you can’t discuss everything, would be better closure for the users. Just saying all good things end seems like a cop-out.

I started with Boagworld 5 years ago (great banter!), moved on to you guys and the Big Web Show (more great banter) and recently I’ve also been listening to Shop Talk (Dave Rupert is smart but says “like” way too much). Anyway, for me Sitepoint had the best balance of the banter and useful information. So thank you so much, and please don’t disappear completely! BTW I listen while walking. Normally on the way to work (in-house frontend dev) but I will also go for an aimless walk just to hear a podcast.

The time came where evolution had to happen and, unfortunately, the form of evolution had to be the end of the show.
