Already installed Just gotta be careful as it will disable any uncompatible themes and extensions. You'll need to make sure you update to the latest versions first ot go into about:config and change app.extensions.version back to .9

I installed it a few days ago. Had to blow away my profile and reinstall extensions to get it working right again, but it's been very nice ever since. I see they're taking cues from IE as well (the Information Bar), and I like how the address bar's background turns yellow to let you know you're on a secure site .

Sitepoint doesn't list their RSS as an alternate source, so Firefox can't find it. This can be easily fixed by adding a <link /> to the RSS feed like so:
HTML Code:
<link rel="alternate" href="http://sitepoint.com/recent.rdf" type="application/rss+xml" />

Going forward you shouldn't have any difficulties installing over and old profile. Or so they say.

I especially like the enhanced type-to-find feature. Type '/' to activate it.

Its a great browser - so far ahead of Internet Explorer and inreasing the margin every release.

The plugins are great.

Particularly useful is the web developer plugin (I'm sure everyone here has that one ) but also the new i-tunes plugin is great - (control i-tunes and other media players in Firefox).

http://update.mozilla.org/extensions...id=219&vid=706 for the music player plugin.

I faced the same problem with my photoblog rss feed. I wrote my rss feed generator with php and had to apply some changes to show the pivture in sage! But it works fine now...

Why must they keep changing the shortcut for downloads? LOL

0.8 - Ctrl+E
0.9 - Ctrl+Y
1.0 - Ctrl+J

Argh, I used to be able to do it all with my left hand, now I have to use my right hand to hit the J.

I guess it's not so bad, as it's an awesome browser, but I think they should allow you to turn off the download manager and just use the old method of downloading (pre-0.8). Oh well.

Supposedly the download manager is going to get a significant overhaul after 1.0 is released. I hope so because it is the weakest part as far as I am concerned.

I think I'll wait until the proper release, not 0.9 recurring. Firefox 0.9 has only crashed on me once, and it is already miles ahead of Explorer, I think I can wait a little longer.

Unfortunate that once popular extensions seem to be no longer updated. Lots of functionality lost.

It is really very nice but I can't get it to play nicely with Furl, so I went back to 0.9 something for the time being.
