You ever had to widen a full site?

…one composed of a lot of fixed graphics (layout and images).

Wondering how that went, or if it turned out to be more or less complicated than you thought.

Looking at my numbers, this is getting close to the cost of actually building a new site which I’m surprised by.

thats definitely gonna involve lot of work.
i did this for small sites with very acceptable changes. i am sure big sites would need lot more work.

It doesn’t surprise me, you’re going to have to redo all of the images, rebalance the design and whitespace and a whole lot more. If you’re not already building liquid layout sites, then your fixed width design may as well be thrown in the trash (unless it’s for an Intranet to which you control every user machine). :slight_smile:
