Notice: This is a discussion thread for comments about the SitePoint article, Rapid Prototyping with SketchFlow.
__________ I remember this was first demonstrated by Bill Buxton from Microsoft Research as the first keynote at MIX 09. |

SketchFlow really is an impressive piece of software. I wish it was available for Mac!
How did everyone fare in the quiz?

BTW: It is available for the Mac as well.... Just run Sun VBox and install as many copies of windows as you need in virtual drives. You will have to have a license of Windows but in my experience, you can run the same license in multiple instances. I've got VS2008 running in one virtual window, Expression Studio in another and Server 2008 in yet another. |

Yeah I guess I could give it a go. Never quite the same as having a native version of the app, but perhaps that will have to do!

Give it a try... It might surprise you how well it works. I'm new to the Mac (after close to 20 years on Windows) but I use OSX "Spaces" and have dedicated one screen to VBox and my virtual Windows screens. Install vBox Guest Additions to provide a seamless experience and Windows runs just like any other application on OSX. I've got lots of RAM & HD so I give my virtual machines a gig of RAM and 100Gig of hard drive space. Learning to use control instead of command for cutting and pasting takes some getting used to (after using a Mac Keyboard) but the clip board works across both OSX and virtual Windows and so do shared folders and network shares.
BTW, hats of to Shane for the great article. I've read it a couple of times and plan to run through the tutorial over the weekend. The quiz was OK but I think they should have asked question about the feedback feature and the publishing features. Those IMO are the most compelling features for real world proofing. |

what auspicious timing! I actually popped onto the forums to look for something else, but not 2 minutes ago I was starting a new project and thinking "I wish there was a real prototyping tool out there for use" (unlike DENIM which I don't think ever got ready for primetime...
will check out that article now. Although I also prefer native mac apps.

never... in a bajillizillion years will I ever willingly incorporate anything MS into my workflow ever again. Especially nothing serverside related. This is experience speaking, not nerd-fueled bigotry.
