There are a few but none of them compare to Wordpress. I've not found one that is worth implementing. I've decided that if I want to have a blog on a .NET site that I'm going to have to create it myself.

There are a few options out there--SubText is venerable but aging. BlogEngine.NET has alot of promise and momentum these days. Oxite is a MS-sponsored demo, and MVC based. I'd really wait 4-6 months and see what shakes out of the "OMG, MVC launched, I wanna make a blogging engine" thing passes and something looks solid.

as wwb said, there are a few options, but non of them is on the same level as WP. Is there any specific reason you do not just use WP? Thats what I usually do.

Yes, it is PHP. But do you want to cutsomise it or use it out the box with mods? Coz if you wana customize it urself you going to have to know the system and PHP quite well. As it can get very confusing.

Windows can host PHP yes. Quite easily. My website is a .net website which has a few php files in it as well, and they work well together.
So if that was the reason not to use WP, then dnt worry about that, but if you want to integrate it with your .net site... that would be very tricky and u would have to know PHP, but otherwise all should be good as if you want to add-on to WP, there is probably already a plugin availalbe that does just that. |

I've tried most of them and I think this is the best. Microsoft are due to announce the new "Orchard" CMS shortly - maybe a revamped Oxite - it would be really neat if it included blog capabilities ;-)
