I am looking for a good home based business that will pay me at least 1k a month.

I like mine, here it is: create a site which attracts lots of visitors each day (from 3000 unique visitors a day) and monetize this traffic with different ad networks (per click, per sales, per impression)
A tip in order to generate enough content to attract that many visitors is to use the power of internet and that is the manpower available for free. ie. have a site that people can use and submit their own content to.
You can have a look at mine in my signature, it is a social bookmarking site, so my users are web publishers who submit things they have already written elsewhere. But other type of sites with user generated content can work wonder.
