I am running a web designing and development company. Our main issue is Virus since we need to use internet 24 hrs.

So I am planning to move from Windows XP to Linux. So can someone advise me the best Linux Platform which support the following ":
  1. Dreamweaver
  2. Photoshop
  3. Flash
  4. Netbeans
  5. LAMP

Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash are only available for Windows and Mac operating systems.

With a bit of hacking you can run them under WINE in Linux, but they will likely be much slower under emulation compared to running them natively. That is going to impact your productivity.

Have you better antivirus instead of switching operating systems and running all your Windows software in emulation? Like a $50 copy of Symantec Endpoint Protection?

I would suggest you not download suspicious files, it's very easy to avoid getting viruses (especially if you have an antivirus guard to offer you some level of protection). If you do want to move to Linux you will be out of luck for running Adobe software outside of emulation (as Dan mentioned) but you could always go for different software (such as NVU / KompoZer / Eclipse in place of Dreamweaver), GIMP instead of Photoshop and one of the many open source Flash projects. Generally speaking if your worried about viruses, solve the underlying problem rather than invest time and possibly money on learning a new OS.

I've done a lot of web development in Linux using mostly Ubuntu. Although there is no direct replacement for the Adobe software there are some good alternatives namely the GIMP and Inkscape will go a long way. Flash is another story however that offers no real replacement. As for the WYSIWYG HTML editors there are a few out there, however I'm not really versed enough to comment.

As for the others LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) is already there but packages like XAMPP can make management easy, Netbeans is readily available (and can make a good replacement for many Dreamweaver functions).

One suggestion is to install http://www.virtualbox.org on your Windows machine and try a few Linux distros out within it. In addition, the Gimp, Inkscape, and nearly any other open source software is also available for Windows so you can try it out and see if it will work for you.
