JavaScript: It's Just Not Validation!

Notice: This is a discussion thread for comments about the SitePoint article, javascript: It's Just Not Validation!.

Hi,

The PHP validation class in Cake for example, is based on the Validator class written by Chris Scharf. Along with the JS wForms, they have been around for ages. The Validator calss, if modified to use the same name validators as wForms, can be very powerful.

Also, I would recommend to use the Validator class & jQuery, or, if using a framework, Zend_Validate & jQuery.
