SEO is the new first job for teens; flipping burgers is so last century

Wanting to turn her blog’s popularity into dollars, Chloe was excited to add Google ads onto her blog, but found out the hard way that this wasn’t possible due to WordPress.com’s restrictive terms of service that forbids the use of AdSense or other third-party ads. Chloe soon moved her entire blog to the domain neopets fanatic.com.

Now, I’m pleased to say, Chloe’s site currently ranks #6 for “neopets” (out of 6.2 million results). Her blog’s traffic has grown to produce $20 to $30 per day in AdSense revenue. Best of all, Chloe only spends a few hours a month blogging and maintaining the site. Not a bad ROI!

She'll be losing her ranking for "Neopets" very soon.

Do you guys think she's a prime example of someone that shouldn't be bragging for ranking for such a highly-competitive keyword?

I love the title of your post. I have hired teenagers to do SEO in that past, and I've done my part to contribute to demise of the burger flipping industry.

It all depends on how old you think a teenager is. I was making over $1,000 a month when I was 16.

I'm 20, not into adsense (cheapens websites imho) but averaging on a good month $1000 in commissions.

SEO is an ideal day job: Spending all day adding boring keyword rich data into meaningless websites to have them rank highly and switch off for the day

The girl he's talking about is making millions and is a teen. She created some kind of myspace layout site for other girls. I saw her on some news show or webcast a while back but forget the name of her site.
