I'm ranked much better in MSN that Google for most of my sites, however it delivers around 4% of my traffic while Google weighs in at 50%... I'll take my chances!

I agree with you, I have personal experiences of my sites listing so fast in 2-3 days of submitting it to MSN LIVE, it quickly indexes each and every page of the site even javascript links, moreover it don't gives backlinks very much importance and it also looks for quality of results. I don't know why people are not using this great search tool which i personally think is good for we webmasters as our sites takes few days to top on msn as compared to months on google. People are used to use and speak about google it is habbit, they don't know what the real winner product is. what is the need of millions of pages for simple keyword when people only hardly go to 15 result's page.
search engine shows up accurate results in top 10 sites why one needs millions of pages when no one can access millionth page.

MSN is easy, everyone knows that.
If you concentrate on Google (which is hard) - chances are you will do very well on MSN searches as a result.

Great post! I agree completely! MSN may not result in a lot of traffic, but at it is more than you would have had without it! :)

I think Yahoo provides better results than MSN.

Ranking algorithm of MSN also seems quite simple. Its only backlinks, IMO.

It doesn't dig as deep though so most low quality links are discounted.

Yeah concentrating on Google so far I have reached 6th for a pretty competitive keyword...checked MSN today and I was 2nd...with no targetting of MSN whatsoever.

I ignored MSN but just my work towards google was enough to rank high in it.

I'll have to agree that it seems easy to rank in MSN without even trying anything special, just the usual optimization techniques.

And while I rank well for my keywords and love MSN, I get 77% of my traffic from Google.

I would rather have more traffic and rank poorly than rank well and have almost none.
