I tried to implement this, but the client is not sending the if-modified-since header back. And after the second request they are sending Cache-Controll : no-cache which disturbes me. I can't figure out whats going on... any Ideas?

what if when a page is requested and before the cache is re-written the user hits the Stop button and the cache has only been regenerated partially by that time ? How do you control that ?
