Designing templates - which CMS?

Hi there,

I am looking at developing a website and would like to do it with a CMS so I don't get lumbered with updates. Reading around and in this forum I am looking at...Joomla, Wordpress (I know - not a proper CMS ) and Drupal.

Can anyone give guidance on which of these is easiest to customise and create templates for? I am clueless when it comes to PHP and would like to keep out of the code if I can. Any advice for tutorials or template resources for these 3 options would be great.

I am pretty good with XHTML/CSS design but would like to take a gentle step towards CMS without too much of a learning curve if possible!

Thanks all.
