I've got a few design templates, but would it be unprofessional to use them?
I have several webpages I did for my own interests, on video games and anime. I consider most of them to be well-designed and put a lot of time and code into them. I learned a lot of PHP and MySQL by making these content-driven sites, so these weren't petty little things. But most were short lived projects that died off due to lack of interest and time, and I kept the files and layouts.
Would it be unprofessional to use these as mockups for design templates as-is? That is, because they're about very hobbyist stuff like video games as opposed to business-oriented sites that most clients would want. I was just thinking that when I show this stuff to someone that asks to see my work, he might say "this guy can't be serious" when he sees the subject matter. |

Not everyone wants a business site, there's nothing wrong with showing that you have some creativity in you.
Have a few business ones as well though ![]() |

I think that as long as they showcase good skills it's OK. I also have a lot of sites that would seem "unprofessional", but they are well made so I just showcase them as design and not topic.
