I never got around to introducing myself ..

Hey,

Well, my name's Bob Burke. I am 14, and I live in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. I lived in London, England until I was 7, at which point I moved here to Dublin. My mom and dad seperated when I was 8, but I'm cool with that now.

I have been devloping on the web for almost 5 years now, I started with HTML and some basic graphics design, and have dabbled in Perl at various stages since then. Now my language of choice is PHP combined with MySQL, and I generally stick to the server side of things .. I don't do much designing anymore.

I am currently in the process of setting up my own network of sites, the network is called Pixel26 ( ) and will feature sites based on entertainment, movies, music .. basically it will be a place for anyone young - or young at heart.

When I amn't in front of a computer screen, I enjoy comedy movies aswell as stand up comedians. I also listen to a wide range of music, mostly Punk though. I watch TV a lot, and I generally watch comedy shows / sitcoms (can you see a pattern?). I also play various sposrts .. soccer, football, rugby and I swim weekly.

Well, that's me .. I have work to do, so I decided to procrastinate and write a lot of stuff in here that I doubt you need / want to know, sorry. Anyways, see you guys around!

Thanks. It only occured to me that I hadn't introduced myself when Jeremy W. said 'Welcome!' to me in a PM.

Ahh'ha, another comedy junkie! Welcome, Bob (or do you prefer Pixel?)! Who's your favorite comedian or show? Oh ya', and PHP is pretty cool, too (I'm just learning, myself).

~~Welcome to SPF (no relation to suntan lotion)

Yes you did. I remember that as well. Something in the PHP&MySQL forum, if I recall correctly about subtracting a certain number from a given time. You taught me to use the explode(); function. Right?

Ian: I don't mind, Bob or Pixel is fine with me. My favourite comedians are Billy Connolly, Brendan O' Carrroll, Brendan Grace, Ricky Tomlinson, Harry Enfield, Tom Green and some more. Jackass and the Tom Green Show are my favourite funny shows, though I doubt they could be classified as true comedy.

Mark: Ah yes, now I remember.

iTec: Felix*TX, Good Charlotte, Stabbing Westward and loads more. Sum 41 kick incredibly large amounts of squirrels *** aswell.

Anyways, thanks for all the welcomes guys!!

Renegade: I count 'em as punk, I don't know if 'proper' punk fans would though.

platinum: Yeah, I started real young. It was pretty much a choice between a Playstation or PC, and my mom eventually convinced me to get a PC. Best decison my mom ever made for me.
