Web Pages reload and "flash" while navigating through site

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been able to figure out why a site I built for a client has a brief blank white flash as I go from page to page almost like it's not caching. I'm guessing it's probably the messy stylesheet/tables combination I have going.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer the question, but I can post an observation.

When each page loads for me, I see the flash box first, then the rest of the page build around it. (IE 6)

Perhaps the flash forum could provide some insight.

Thanks, I've isolated the problem to the Flash banner that I used to replace a set of static images. It appears that's where the page flashing is coming from.

Any particular browser?

I notice when I load alternatively COACHING and WORKSHOP therse is a short time before the content is downloaded. I'd say my browsers load from scratch when I follow a link regardless. (I believe I've set no cache if possible because I mostly just test the same pages over and over).

But when I use the back button there is no flash, it loads immediately. I've tried with FF and IE6.

(By the way, I'd rather see you spending $5 worth of time helping your fellow sitepointer rather than giving it away. Just a thought though )
