Advertising options on Australian sites

I am looking into creating a shopping comparison site but first I’d like to make sure there is $$s in this type of site here in Australia. I’m wondering if any Australians (or anyone else) could point me in the direction of any advertising services that could serve up ads relating to Australian online stores. I’d also be interested to know what sort of money I would be looking at for ads per click on a comparison site that would at this point mainly contain electronic gadgets (Laptops, Desktop PCs, cameras, mp3 player etc...).

I realize there is Adsense out there and it would probably be perfect, but as these ads don’t open in a new window and I’m not sure I want to loose my visitors. Should I be worried about this? What sort of percentage of people click back when they are done with the advertiser’s site?

If anyone could offer some advice or point me in the direction of any information sites out there it would be greatly appreciated.
