Those skiving tags and hyperlinks from KY's book
When I take the script (file:joke.php) from Kevin Yank’s excellent gospel, Chapter 7 p 160, and adapt it for my project, the hyperlinks and tags don’t want to work.
This is how it sits in the mysql db: [i]Shakespeare's musk rose [ei]is one of the most famous and frequently misidentified rose species in the [b]history of horticulture.[eb] Though widely grown since Classical times and illustrated clearly in medieval manuscripts, the true Rosa moschata was for many years unobtainable in the US and Great Britain. [PAGEBREAK] For much of the[L]<a href="http://www.wow.com"> 20th century</a> [EL]the autumn blooming musk rose was confused in commerce with its relative <em>Rosa brunonii.</em> R. brunonii is a much taller growing, summer blooming climber which still accounts for most of the plants sold under the name of "musk rose".[PAGEBREAK] The pagebreak works excellently, but the hyperlinks, the [L] and [i] and [b] etc appear on the browser page exactly as they are in the db. What do I need to do, please, to get them working? |

Did you use the preg_replace() that he used in the book?
