On MSN search, when I search for the name h e a l t h e b o d y s h o p, a bunch of doorway/junk sites come up. The Google placements for this site have gone down lately, and I wonder if it is because it's listed on a bunch of these crappy sites. It's on this one too - http://www.waterstreetrowing.org/

Why is this happening? Could it be because the domain was owned by somebody else a few years ago and maybe ended up on bad sites back then? Some of this junk are totally inappropriate and link to pornography.

Example sites that have listed us, according to MSN: www.alkwad.admin.realgamble.us, www.http3a2f2fwww.bmned.com.uafl.org, http://www.list.of.missing.children....meinbhoff.html, http://www.medbuzenval.com/es/health...-for-Vitamin-K, www.xbfxcdxb7xb9xc1.realgamble.us. etc... it's a lot of this junk.
What can I do?

Did you ever advertise on Adwords or on Overture? If so, that could be the reason. A lot of those doorway pages run XML feeds of various search engines that include premium listings on AdWords and Overture. If your site was listed when it was spidered/cached, that would be the reason.

If you mean healthebodyshop as one word, I think only very few site listed in both Google and MSN, less competitive word so lot of 'junks' come in 1-2 pages.

For me, on Gooooogle, a site w. that name comes up 1st + 2nd!
And _this thread_ comes up as #7+8!!
Well, point is: healthebodyshop is a non-competitive keword, meaing it's EASY to rank well for it.
For instance, I now rank among the top results on Goooogle for the keyword "micfo web hosting" - because I have a page on my site that reviews that web host.
My goal is to rank #1 for "web hosting" ... a LITTLE bit harder...!
