Lord of the Rings rout

Okay, I can't believe that nobody started this thread so I'm going to.

How about that Lord of the Rings rout? 11 nominations and 11 Oscars for "Return of the King". Maybe this thread didn't get started because our Kiwi friends are still hung over from last night.

So out of curiosity, I looked up the total Oscar count for the three Lord of the Rings movies and found that the series had a total of 30 nominations and won 17 Oscars

I was watching the Oscars last night, it was funny when a winner from Canada said that "We're glad Lord of the Rings were not nominated for this category." LOTR deserved it! It's the best trilogy I've ever seen. Most people already saw the Oscar sweep coming for LOTR.
