I am thinking about send postcards to my local businesses to advertise my web design company. Is this a good idea? If so do you have any suggestions of what to put on them to interest clients?

But above all else - you have to grab a prospects attention with a great headline that stresses the biggest benefit of doing business with you.

I feel the best way to grab someone's attention though is to offer a free guide or report available from your website - and stress the benefits of the report on the postcard to make them want to visit your site to download it. Even if they dont' buy anything from you now - it's a great way to get their contact information and start developing a relationship with them.
