    Linking to wmv files

    Hi

Nice redesign - am I a bit late on that one!!!!!

Right, I am using a unix server and was wondering if you can link directly to a wmv file, or whether you need something like a ram file (like with realplayer)

    For example

    http://www.domain.com/clip.wmv

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am on a mac and its a nightmare using the windows media player

Also - is there a way of embedding them into a page

    Cheers

yes, you can just link to them. it will work ok, unless your site has a huge ammount of traffic (in which case it's far more advisable to set up a proper streaming server which handles things such as bandwidth negotiation etc).
as for embedding them into a page, have a read through http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...dwmwebpage.asp
re·dux (adj.): brought back; returned. used postpositively
[latin : re-, re- + dux, leader; see duke.]
