A question for designers that deal with developers remotely...

Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering how you guys deal with sending designs to your frontend developers?

What is your process for sending your designs to your devs? ie Do you send PSDs, or PNGs or other? How do you send them? Email, dropbox or something else?

And what do you do when you need to make changes to the files? Do you send a new comp? Or just a list of email instructions?

Speaking from the development point of view I would prefer to have a PSD because it is easier to isolate and use any graphics I need if the design is still in layers.

I always use dropbox to communicate with the developers.

any updates made to any design is updated on the dropbox inside a new folder.

Then just a email to inform them that there is a new file on dropbox.

A small skype conversation every 2-3 days and everything will be good.

MY PHP GUY often changes the codes and all to the programs he makes.

Dropbox works best for these kind of updates.
