I'm currently using this version (I just downloaded it) and I think that it's a major improvement on PR1 and 2.
What are your opinons?www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.

Hi,
It is a big improvment on the previous versions but it is still very buggy, it takes much longer to load than PR1 or PR2 but I suppose thats Netscape.
The layout is much improved as you can pick between the modern one and the classic one and even the modern one is far better than in the previous versions. What has happen to the CSS2 support though, I looked at a range of sites using it (including SP) and there was no rolloveer effects on links? The engine seems much improved though as it is displaying pages quickly and most look as they do in IE although the front page on Sitepoint loooks a bit wierd but no major problems with any of the sites I visit regually. I think I will be sticking with IE for the time being though.

I downloaded PR1 and was pretty horrified by it, I didn't bother with PR2.
But now I'll download PR3 and see if its any better
PR1 took all my sys resources (i dont have many anyway), it also took ages to load. But hopefully those probs will at least be partly fixed by PR3

I downloaded PR2 and wasn't all that impressed and considering my slow connection I don't think I'm going to waste the time to download again until the final version comes out.

I am going to wait for the final release, too, considering my slow connection. I downloaded PR1 and that's all I need to see for now.

I'd like to add that I'm beginning to prefer NS 6.0 over NS 4.75 since it's: -faster -better rendering of sites -better compatibility with CSS and other
When I used PR 1 and PR 2, I wasn't even sure whether it was a serious try of Netscape to make a real browser, but this version is starting to look like a good, stable, fast, reliable browser.
I've to run some more tests with it, thoughwww.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.

ARGH!! It seems like NS 6 PR3 likes to crash when I send a message in NS WebMail...
I've send two messages and it crashed both times... Hmm...www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.

Could someone send me a screen shot or describe the differences between NS P1 and NS P3? I took the time to download P1, but seeing as how I'm on such a slow dial-up connection, I'd rather wait until the final release to download another version of NS. This, being I'm not a NS fan in the first place...
Are the improvements/advancements in the visual or performance field, or both? Thanks.

A screenshot won't be of much use, since NS 6 uses skins.
The most obvious differences between PR1 and PR3: loads faster, is much faster when switching between multiple browser windows and, like I said before, much more stable.www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.
