    TD images

    Is there an easy way to figure out which CSS tags are/are not ok to use? My main question, is it ok to set the background image of a Table cell (TD) using CSS?

    Something like this:

    td {
    background-image:url(../images/myimage.gif);
    background-repeat:repeat-y;
    background-position:top left;
    }

    PS. This is my first question on sitepoint, please just repond with the word Google, if this is child's play. I could search da net myself, but the whole reason I'm here in the first place is cause of searching. Usually I'll search for something and like 2 or 3 hours later I'll find myself reading what Carlo Fakelastname did for the last few months, or what Jane Doe's favorite movies are....etc.

    http://www.w3schools.com/css/ - For all your stylesheet needs.

    Also, top left is the default position of a background image, so to save file size you may want to get rid of that CSS declaration.

    i would also add http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS1 and http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/ ... they're a bit dry at first, but are the definitive guide as to what you can and can't do with CSS.
