How hard is vBulletin to install?

I know very little about unix/php/msql. Is it pretty easy or do I really need to pay the extra for professional install?

As long as you know your username and passwd for FTP and your mysql database, you should be able to have vbulletin installed in a couple of minutes. IMO the hard bit is getting your head around how the software works.

    cheers!

    Yep, It's super easy.

I just did my first install and it only took a few minutes. You only need to create a MySQL database and then set the connection strings in the config file and vBulletin does the rest.

Forum and option setup were all pretty easy. Now I'm having some trouble finding a basic template other than the default vBulletin one.
