    Apache Redirect

I did a search on this topic, but I couldn't find anything that I could understand So any help that you can give would be appreciated.

I'm running Apache (the latest version of 1.xxx). I want it be to be set up so that when a user goes to http://www.mydomain.com/ they will be redirected to http://www.mydomain.com/home/

I tried using an htaccess redirect:
    Redirect / http://www.mydomain.com/home/

But that didn't work (nothing shows up). Any ideas on how to get it to work?

    Hi,

    use:
    RedirectMatch ^/$ http://www.mydomain.com/home/
