I know I shouldn't really post a new topic because I already started one a little while ago, but I'm sure none of you mind that much.

BTW if this is in the wrong forum category, I'm sorry, I didn't know where this should go to be honest. Moderators, move it as you see fit.

Anyway, about my post. I've been thinking about writing a business planner script that could be used on intranets. I was thinking of a day planner that yourself and boss could use to work out your work day for that particular day, also a calendar, a message board, built in messenger and other such things.

This of course, could benefit large businesses.

Now I was thinking of writing it in PHP and using either flat files or a MySQL database. I know that PHP is a web based language but it could also be used online.

Now do you think businesses could benefit from something like this? Is there already a script like this?

If you think this idea want work, tell me. I dont want to start something that wouldn't be of use anyway

I'm pretty sure therre is a very similar script at http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Script...line_Planners/

I was actually looking for a script I could use like a ToDo list so I could use it for my work projects aswell as stuff that needs doing on my sites but couldn't realyl find a decent one.

I know i could definetly use something like that, its not worth it for me to develop it myself though.

I would also be very interested in that...I can't set one up myself but if someone else did it would be great!
I guess most of the ppl in these forums would have a use for such an app.

GO GO GO GO GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

I had recently drawn up plans for such a system. It was a todo list, with a private messanging system thing, and a heap of other useful functions.

Being my lazy self i gave up within 2 days of starting the actual programming. lmfao

But i do think that that would be a useful thing to alot of businesses on Intranets. If i was doing it i would make the focus userbility, and also to endeavor to produce a system where everyone can find out at the click of a mousebutton where someone else in the company is and what they are doing.

    KEEP IT UP MAN...

Remember that old thing called "paper"? Well, apparently, it can still be used. I use a small planner/notebook that includes my To Do list.

James buddy paper is good...but syndication is better.

I use mountains of paper all my backends are documented by hand etc etc

The thing about this would be that the boss could easily look at everyones todo list and add things to it and all that kind of thing. It would further lubricate a small to medium size businesses operations.

I'm glad most of you like the idea. usually I make the pages in html first and then start on the back end stuff...

I have to brush up on PHP anyway and this seems the best way to do it.
