Link class size wierdness!

I have a p class that has smaller text than a regular paragraph. There is a link in there which I cannot get to inherit the smaller size. I tried this.

<a href="link.url" class="tinylink">link</a>

tinylink. { font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 8 pt }

The link stays the same size as all my other links!
