I am redoing my site in PHP and was wondering what the problems, if any, there are with search engie=ne registration and spidering of PHP page.

Will search engines recognise and spider a PHP page?

I don't really see php files when searching!
So I think you should have html files and use SSI is much safer.

But I am not sure. Anybody?

I think most search engines will index it if it doesn't have any '?' or other strange characters in it.

    Cool.
What I am doing is that I am using a small Database to map my files. So I would be using filenames as normal but then use the DB to map them on to the funny filenames with the ? in them
