    Parsing information between pages in ASP

    I am developing a page so i can parse information from one page to another.

    one page has three options and when the users clicks on the options they was want they then click on the send button.

    That choice will be seen on the next page which is past of a form.

    Can someone point me in the right direction for this to work in asp.

    Thanks

    Contain the items on the 1st page in a form. Send the form to the 2nd page wherein you can retrieve the details.

    var=Request.Form("FormElementName") 'method="POST"

    var=Request.Querystring("FormElementName") 'method="GET"

    If that stumps you then I suspect you have taken on something way beyond your knowledge or capabilities.

    Just Google for "Request.Form ASP"

    I usually process a form and put the form on the same page. SO you might have:

    <%
    if Request.Form <>"" Then
    response.write "Your choice was "& Request.Form("color")
    End if
    %>
    <form method=POST>
    <input type=text name="color">
    </form>

    Just off the top of my head but it should work. So essentially the form variables are stored in Request.Form("variablenameinform")

    You can also retrieve them with Request("variablenameinform") however that I typically use when passing URL parameters. Ie., if your page is http://www.yoursite.com/test.asp?x=1

    Then Request("x") will return 1

    Hope this helps.. I've been using ASP since 1998 and still haven't gotten around to using ASP.net

    IN your main webpage just add a form:

    <form action=
    In simple ASP just create your form with options on the one page, and then on the receiving page, use this:

    choice = Request.Form("color")
