Can anybody tell me how can I fit my image in the box without elongated or deformed? My image is square shaped and the box on a template has rectangular arguments.

You have two options:

• Change the template to give a square image
• Change the shape of your image (ie, crop it) in a graphics program

Normally, the image would just appear at its normal shape, unless you have some kind of rule such as

img {width: 100%;}

Could you say a bit more about your setup?

You can arrange your image by using HTML image tag with attribute width= % or px.
