    Hello All,

If my memory proves right, aren't there online tools which can help a webmaster determine color combinations for a website?

Would appreciate any suggestions the SitePoint family would have about this.

If there are any "free" tools which could be downloaded that can help with this would also appreciate suggestions about those.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
I am just in the prosess of making a site for web developers and I was looking for tools to add to my site. It just poped in my head, does anyone know where I can find a color picker javascript to put on my site that is free? I had one saved on my computre but I deleted it and can't find it anywhere now.

    Thanks,

Here's a listing of the hex colors I've found quite helpful for some time:

    Hi,

Thanks to all who provided suggestions.

    I checked out "ColorSchemer" at,
    http://www.colorschemer.com
but I found it confusing and could not locate any instructions as to how to use it.

    Also, I went by Visibone
http://www.visibone.com/colorlab found this helpful but there was no place to insert Hex and/or RGB values.

    The list of colors at,
    http://www.users.interport.net/~gian...Specifier.html
was interesting and helpful. I was able to determine which shade of color I wanted to use.

Some other sites that I have used...all free, of course!

Basic RGB to Hex Converter - http://www.creativepro.com/eservices...hex?cprose=I24 ---> From CreativePro, a great resource!

ColorCenter - http://www.hidaho.com/colorcenter/cc.html ---> Select Background, Text, Link, Active Link, Visited Link or Texture above to set the corresponding colors/textures.

ColorMaker - http://www.bagism.com/colormaker/ ---> Sparkie just gave me this one!

Color Picker - http://www.patratel.com/freeware/burger.html ---> Part of the "Burger Tools" download. Lets you choose a color from the ColorPalette and provides you with its Hex code, for HTML use...and more!

This is a site for verifying WebTV Colors that was on the About.com design tips newsletter that I just received...

I also find useful to color photocopy a color chart with the web safe palette printed on it and stick it up on my wall next to my PC.

I also have a web color chart on my desk - doubt if I could see a wall chart without my glasses!! I don't wear them working at the PC...

I Need to print this out again --> Colors by Name

Could never live without my 'resources' - charts & books & tips - right next to me, although I'm beginning to remember certain color numbers & tags in my dreams
