Please start by defining your requirements. What do you need a host for, what traffic do you expect to get, do you need anything custom?

I recommend HawkHost, extremely helpful and prompt support and a great plan for those who are planning to host multiple small sites

I have tried two hosting sites BlueHost and Hostgator. At present, I use Hostgator for my websites. What I like about it is the after sales service, they easily respond to queries and help out in resolving issues.

We need to know the type of hosting you are looking for. Shared hosting or VPS hosting I assume?
