    both the facebook and twitter links are going to link out of the site obviously. Does that need to be orchestrated any differently than an in page link?

    Funny, I was just about to ask you exactly where on the pages you want the social buttons to appear and what they look like (a link to the icons). The buttons are positioned like any other object on the page. How to make them function, I don't know. There may be some proprietary JavaScript involved. There are several lines of commented out script code in the HTML file and more in the css file. Looks like twitter widget stuff. Will you be using that or do you have something else?

    that is not being used now. We are using images to link to the sites now. They will go right under the main menu. I might have to look further into that then.

    I'd like to ask you to revisit message number 81 please.

    This seems like a good time to erase the old dates and the grayboxes at the same time.

    The height of the images can be shorted. They are just background-images and are surrounded by a matching background-color, so their actual height is unimportant to the height of the finished page.

    I would need to request new images. The greybox and dates were put on as a part of the background image by my partner.

    This should be all you need for the index page.

    Can you come up with a couple of social media button images to use as placeholders until you decide exactly how you intend to implement them?

    What do you mean by placeholders in this context?

    Placeholders... images that we can place on the page with html and css. I imagine that you have a certain "look" in mind. How big the button images should be and where they should be placed. The placeholders would be helpful for writing the code to achieve that look. For example...

    every thing seems to work, though I don't see anything highlighting the current page I am on. That's the only thing I don't see. I did download it though.

    When you hover over a button in the Main Menu, it glows purple. After you click on that button and go to that page, the button stays purple to indicate the name of the new current page. That was part of your original code that didn't work.

    hmm, I didn't see that happening when I tested it out. Did it work for you? What explorer are you using?

    The coloring of the Main Menu buttons works in IE8, IE9, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome.

    However, the centering of the social media buttons does not work in Chrome nor IE9. I'll post a fix for that in a few minutes.

    You should be able to double-click the "home.html" page in the folder that you downloaded and test everything on your PC. What browser are you using? Do you test with more than one browser?

    That particular effect wasn't working before, so you probably were not looking for it.

    Another effect that wasn't working before... when you hover over the button of the active page, the cursor remains a default arrow and does not change to the pointy finger.

    Replace the RED lines with the BLUE lines to fix the centering problem with the social media buttons.

    sfg.css
    Line 189
    Code:
    #social {
    /* outline:1px solid cyan; /* TEST OUTLINE ONLY - DELETE or comment out */
        display:table;
        position:absolute;
        bottom:-20px;
        left:0;    /* DELETE ME */
        right:0;    /* DELETE ME */
        margin:0 auto;    /* DELETE ME */
        left:50%;    /* ADD ME */
        margin-left:-70px; /* ADD ME *//* value = 1/2 width of social button box, or as desired. */
    }

    shakmbakm,

    I made a careless coding error on the HTML pages.
    The social media buttons on the home page are right, the social buttons on all of the other pages are wrong.

    When I first added the social media buttons, I used foreground images. Later, I replaced them with background images like the rest of your buttons use. Unfortunately, I forgot to change the code on the HTML pages, EXCEPT for the home page, of course.

    You can copy lines 53 and 54 on the home page and replace the social button code on the other pages with it and fix the error easily enough; OR, since we're basically replacing the foreground image tag with plain text, you could copy and paste just the text instead of whole lines if that's easier.

    The line numbers on most pages are 38 and 39, on the games page they are 40 and 41.

    Sorry for the oversight.

    CHANGE FROM:
    Code:
                <div class="face"><a href="#"><img src="images/facebook32.png" alt=""/></a></div>
                <div class="twit"><a href="#"><img src="images/twitter32.png" alt=""/></a></div>
    CHANGE TO:
    Code:
                <div class="face"><a href="#">facebook</a></div>
                <div class="twit"><a href="#">twitter</a></div>

    I'm not sure what is going on but on the games page, press and faq pages the background doesn't show up, its just white. While on some pages the greybox doesn't show either. On most pages the bottom year line seems to show up twice. Home page is having the same problem.

    Are the files you gave me all I need? Should I delete all I have and just use that?

    Yes, it does look great. Very nicely done! You should have no problem asking for a raise

    Are the files you gave me all I need? Should I delete all I have and just use that?
    You should be using only the new files. However, one should always store the old files in an Archive directory until the new setup is thoroughly proven.
