Attached you will find two images... The first is how the date and time show up in Mozilla (white on a dark blue background) and the second is how it shows up in Internet Explorer 6.0 (white on a blue background).
What browser are you using because it is definately a browser issue and a problem with that browser interpreting CSS properly.
I'm using IE 5.5 with Windows ME. I'm waiting to get our new office sorted and a new pc built which will have XP on it, then this one will be wiped and upgraded. I'm sure I'm not the only one stuck on 5.5 and Win ME though.
