    css or javascript slide show

    or javascript slide show?

I'm working on this small project to learn how to do some of the basic design tasks:

    http://webpage.pace.edu/wc43870n/engine/newengine3.html

As you can see, there are two arrows on the hero section with the hello in it.

i want this hero section to self animate and show some photos.

I also want the arrows to be clickable and go to the next slide.

What is the best way to do this? javascript, css, or css3?

    Thanks

Yes, that's a job for JavaScript. There are lots of free scripts out there for doing this. One of those is bxSlider, of which I'm very fond. It has lots of options.

i originally posted this in the css forum, but it looks like a javascript job,
so i would like to ask are there any built in functions that already do this or if i wanted to write my own custom script,
can you tell me what functions i would need and i would go about doing this?

i know there are prebuilt scripts for this, but would like to learn how to do it on my own.

    Thanks
