Does keyword density differ from web page to web page?

Since keyword density has to do with the number of words in the content of a web page, it only shows that keyword density differs from web page to web page. Is my assumption right or wrong? Keyword stuffing has to be averted at some stage or the other though.

Yes, keyword density differs from web page to web page. However, in order to succeed on the web today, you have to look beyond keyword density and focus on creating content that your visitors will find useful or valuable.
