What blogs do you visit consistently?

Wondering what blogs you guys find worthy of a periodic visit. Or if you use an aggregator, worthy of being on yours.

I visit Simon Willison's weblog daily and also frequent Zeldman presents, Mezzoblue, Phil Ringnalda's blog.

I find that the useful tips, links and mini-articles as well as the good looks (esp. Mezzoblue) keep me coming back.

At the risk of making Simon big-headed, I have to say that his blog is the only one that I visit daily without fail.

The only other one I visit regularly that you haven't mentioned is Stop Design.

Erm, Jeremy Zawodny's, Michael Radwin's, Kasia Trapzo's, The Angry Economist, Ensight (obviously... the advantage of a group blog is you get to read your own site ).

I also read Adam Polselli's, skunk's, Sterling Hughes and Randy Rants at least once a week.

Not web specific. Updated randomly. A once a month visit gets you new content guaranteed. Written by Lore, who used to do a lot of the content for brunching.com, the home of Porn Star or My Little Pony amongst other things.

I think you've not seen the right blogs. I don't like reading about someone else either, yet I have several dozen blogs I read daily. I think most people are using the term "blog" to literally. Slashdot is a blog, geeknews is a blog, heck, CNN is a blog. I read mostly technical ones. I like to see what other developers are up to and how they solve problems they run into and read theory and opinion on current development topics. Sometimes you do get a bit of personal stuff mixed in, even with a tech blog, but on those it usually serves to enhance my understanding of the author better. I could care less about those blogs, that seem by and large run by young teenage girls, who rant about boys, take silly quizes and so on. There is a mile of crap for evey ounce of gold you find, for sure!

It used to mean a "web log" in which posts, links, diary entries, news, whatever.. were posted in reverse chronological order. The term is much broader these days and just about any site that posts "content" on a regular basis in any kind of orderly format could be considered a blog, or at the very least powered by one. The most common type is indeed the personal blog, or journal. While others cover specific topics, like books or news, or technolgy. Some just cover the most mundane aspects of life. What you had for lunch or dinner. You can get a good sample of blogs by visiting http://www.blogger.com and http://www.weblogs.com

I think the key to finding blogs you like is really one which appreciated quality over quantity. I hate blogs which have 30 1-liners per day. Evil.

Agreed. Also, there is a blog out there for every topic interest you may have and I think those are often the best. Do you collect stamps? I bet there is a stamp collectors blog out there (indeed there is: http://haddock.hispeed.com/blogger.htm).. I think the more specific a blog the better it is usually. I have trouble with blogs that cover every topic under the sun. I don't mind blogs that cover several topics as long as they are related somehow.

    I found redemption's blog today by accident/coincidence.
I got curious about those south park characters that people create themselves and googled for something like "create south park character", and his site came up. Didn't realize who it was until after surfing the site for awhile.

Other than that, I really don't go to blogs, at least not recurrently.

I frequent TechDirt. It gives me an update on whats going on in the tech world when I am too busy to spend time looking around on my own. I also tend to agree with his commentary.

Lately I've also started checking out F'dCompany.com. Its interesting to see whats going on in the business world (even though they are rumors). The downside is the fact that there is no inteligent conversation about the posts at all.
