css problem

I hope this is the correct folder to place this.

Check www.bestexteriors.com/index.php I am re-working a web site and I am including CSS. The links are pissing me off.

Check the links... $save $150 Learn How .... and Lisensed. All these links are supposed to be a brighter blue but show up as .blue instead of .blue:link

Can anyone take a look at my code and tell me the problem? My .css file is linked.

I can do no better than that... but it's probably better to check the source on the page and the full css file to get the BIG picture.

First off, let's get straight here. You want my help, so try to be a bit accommodating. I'm sure you understand.

Second of all in order to use CSS on links you have to apply a class or something to the link in the html. then in the css, you're defining 'a' elements.

Here's why:

Your anchor tag is double defined. Or, .blue when 'linked' is the same color as "A:link".

You switch classes. Bluebold3 class is a different color from .blue. Check your CSS.

What would I do to correct this? Change the css or the html?

100% CSS? I can see tables and tons of tags you don't need all over the place? Thats not 100% CSS at all, sorry man.

When I say 100% css I mean no font tags. To me css isn't worth much more. Change size color etc... The rest is needed for placement. Anyways.. Let's fix what I've got.

CSS is a lot more than font tags. Its like you said: size color, etc. placement. You are building with tables. Its not 100% CSS. Thats all.

To answer your question, yes, add an A to the classes. But more importantly, check your HTML. You have called for classes that have different colors and font-weights. Look.

Suggestions here... I added a:bluebold3:link I also added a.bold:link but there is NO change... I did not change the HTML only the CSS.

The HTML has not changed the CSS now looks like:

a.bluebold3:link { FONT-WEIGHT: bold; 
FONT-SIZE: 17px; COLOR: #0033FF; 
text-decoration: none;
}

Let's not argue about 100% 50% etc.. To me this is as good as it gets. Call me old fashioned. I don't see or don't yet know how or why it would replace a frame. That isn't the point.
