Wayne had a cat named Sparky
What a cool name!
Temis: I watch my pet's actions for about two weeks after I get them, by that time their personalities really start to show through and you can think of some great names - for example:
"Troubles" always used to venture down to the local grocery store (about 5 minutes drive) and the grocers were always calling saying "Your dog's gonna be in trouble if he runs out into the traffic.." so from that, we got Troubles.
"Bandit" is part husky and part german shepherd. She has what looks like a little black mask around her eyes, and is notorious around the neighborhood for stealing welcome mats, shoes and unattended toys.
"Artemis", one of my cats, is crazy about stalking and pouncing on unsuspecting balls of paper, shoes or anything else that catches her attention. She will also bring home "prizes" that she has caught outside.
Hope those suggestions helpgood luck naming your puppy!

Sparky:
Well, his call name is Ares (for the Greek god of War), but its the AKC name I am having trouble with... His mom was 'A license to Thrill (Sienna)', his dad 'The chase is on (Iroc)'... I dont know what to name him....

We always named our dogs with our Kennel name (WAJAMAL, mine and my brothers initials) for the AKC.
We had purchased one dog, Chantilly, from a kennel in Michigan for about $1000 including airfare. My dog Nykeema was her daughter. Chantilly's AKC name was Chantilly Lace. We named registered Nykeema as "Nykeema Silver Lace of Wajamal". Others were "Mischief Loki of Wajamal" (called Loki), "Morning Mist of Wajamal" (called Misty).
We also wrote that into the contract when we sold most puppies. The new owners had to add the "of Wajamal" at the end unless they had paid the extra ($300 dollars, I believe) to have that section removed from the contract. Since we always got their AKC numbers for them as puppies we could track it as well.
Since the Akita's name is Ares, he is probably either a terror or tries to be fiercesome even though he is a puppy. It would help in knowing attitude and coloration to decide upon a name. If he is a chewer you can name him "Ares' Apocolypse"

Never named it. Didn't see the point in naming an animal that doesn't respond to it.
It's Sheba. Not original, but it suits her.Cheese-N-Rice - A daily comic strip.

Wayne, he has to have 'CR' in front of his name - the breeder was CR Akitas.... He's a protector, but very sweet to the family. Not a chewer - very smart
Color: reddish with black overcoat, white belly and boots, black muzzle.

We have 2 dogs (both rescues from the pound) - Scout (a Golden Retriever mix) and Payton (a German Shepherd/Airdale mix puppy who narrowly escaped a Parvo epidemic at the pound).
We also have a cantankerous cat named Mida (pronounced Me-dah) and a Colombian red tail boa named Nero.
