    Talking

    thnx, good to know that.

The Home page and contact page is normal HTML, bcoz i want every1 to view it.
But inside pages are completely XML. Even in Netscape 7, when i tried I found that, the image map used for top menus with XML files doesn't work at all.
But my site is done using Today's technology which won't work in Yesterday's browsers

Hey guys out there, if ur interested in how this site was done...u can lemme know so that I can prepare a Tutorial. Maybe with code for the Image galary page ( u can check products page on the site for an example )

oops! I thought the homepage is in xml.

In Opera, other pages are just plain text without any formatting and style. No images either.

But it works in Mozilla 1.1 and Netscape 6.1.

Cool. You can actually do the transforms client side, with javascript, if you're interested. Its pretty easy. In fact, not long ago someone wrote an article on Sitepoint on how to do it. Do a search of the javascript articles and I'm sure you'll see it.

thnx all of u for your feedback.
My site is updated with some of my 3D works
My site till now is SCRIPT FREE.

Now lemme tell u the issues using Javascript and secondly why it is the way it is.

If u need help of how to use XML XSL etc...using Javascript or IE data binding...check out this URL http://www.w3schools.com/xml/default.asp .

About the article reference provided. It uses Microsoft.XMLDOM which is from MS which might not work in other browsers or OS

Now why did I do this way. My idea was to use same XSL file with all formatting + transformation in entirely different file. So that I create articles as standalone XML file and just put a refernce to the XSL file at the top

What does that mean. For example, i'm using only 3XSL pages for all the XML based pages (Home & Contact is an exception)

    1) To show the list of articles( eg. u get the list of articles like ASP.NET )
    2) For showing the detailed article.
    3) For image gallary ( see products or first article in 3D Max category ).

Just check out Viewsource to see the XML file

I'm planning to have a detailed article on the site with code in near future. ( bit busy at work... )

For all feedback and ur valuable comments, thnX once again.

sukesh, that's cool. i've been tinkering with writing a similar app for a site i'm building with xml. couple of questions. does it have security features (as in logging in, etc)? it shouldn't be to hard to add in i wouldn't think. looking at your screen shot gave me some ideas i hadn't quite figured out yet. great looking tool.

    Wink hi buddy !!!

I don't mind sharing the Webtool, once its complete...Lemme get going ...still schema changes are happening for the XML for more features.

Basically the aim is to have such a site, where in anybody can download this tool and start writing articles rather than download & follow 5page guidelines, just to write an article.

I have g8 plans for this Tool, like security, maybe built-in FTP etc...

    Your ideas are always welcome...

    hi all,

And guys I've changed my webtool, to make it simpler I wrote a program in VB.NET to read Word document file and create the article XML file...
I'll put up an article about it with screenshot in near future.

If you like to know how to encode and store binary data like images in xml
then I would like to welcome you to my site.

Pls use either link on home page or VB section for the article ( code
snippets ) and you can download FREE utility from download page demostrating
    it.

Thanks Indian. I was not entirely dead. I have been visiting SPF although never posted Good to see you after a long time.

By the way. I am really impressed with this XML/XSLT website. I mean, XSLT "templates" and graphics are downloaded with the first XSLT-driven page. Each subsequent page is only a small XML file. Overall, faster browsing. Some relief for people still on a dialup or not-so-fast cable connections.

You can't live in todays world with yesterdays browser.
Browsers are available free with most of the Magazine CD's. So downloading is not the only way to update your browser !
