ok, time has come for me to go buy meself a car... cant live without being mobile !
My choices are pretty simple:
1. Honda Civic Hatchback DX (2 door)
2. Honda Civic Sedan SE (4 door)
what my opinions are:
1. hatchback
-its small and speedish, which i like ...
-i like 2 door cars
2. sedan
-standard with power locks and keyless entry
-4 doors are better since its a pain getting out of hte car to let someone in
-more roomy ?
so, what are your opinions, if any, or votes, and justify reasons why you like a specific model...
you can see details on the DX / SE at http://www.honda.ca
peace...
i will survive !

I'd say the hatchback. I wouldn't want my first car to be a big one...and I like little fast things. The hatchback probably will cost less as well.

Christophe - Thanks for telling me that! Unfortunately due to some problems thay are not showing it live here so I am still watching it. I guessed as much though. I cried when Mika's car broke down. Did I tell everyone that I love Mika?
Oops, interview with Mika now. Seeya later!

Vinay,
I own a Honda Accord 4-door and let me tell you something:
If I had a hatchback instead of my sedan, it would be hell on earth trying to get people in and out of that thing.
It is already cramped enough as it is, even with 4 doors, and the fact remains that it is still hard to get in and out of that thing since it is so low (I started my driving in a Chevy Suburban back when I had my permit -- higher is better IMO).
My car has a sunroof and power everything and she is still a sporty little thing (when she is clean -- we live on a dirt county road) even if she does have 4 doors.
BTW -- I still love my car despite those "little things."

It's more fun to haul your friends around. Get the sedan. I had a 1998 Honda Civic sedan. It was a fun car.

ok, today I went and did a test drive on the civic sedan
now, in CANADIAN dollars, the civic sedan 4 door base price is $17,900 ... the hatchback DX was $16,300
FIRST OF ALL, Honda is not producing hatchback's for 2001 and nobody knows about 2002, AND DX production was stopped and the model was replaced with the hatchback SE, which has power everything and costs $17,500 which is still available in the market
anyhow, i looked at the hatchback, its small, but its, too small, lol, if I wanted to pay for a really small car, I'd get a BMW Z8.. hehe
anyhow, i pretty much settled on a black civic sedan SE (power doors, keyless entry, cd player is free instead of an addition) , automatic (i woulda gone for 5 speed, but i dont want to get standard unless i'm buying a sporty car, like a civic coupe SiR or something) ..
Freesources: why Honda? .. coz Honda has a reputation for reliability... AND civic honda's have good resale, if I get bored of it after 2 - 3 years... i dont know much about Mazda, I like toyota's since I spent my teen life in a country which loves the toyota cressida which is unseen here since production stoppped a very long time ago

Mine is at 191,000 and she still purrs like a kitten and drives the same. The horn and "left-your-headlights-on" bell are still definitely Jap, though.Isaiah Walter

I have a VW fox sedan. One of the back doors doesn't work so I guess it's a 3 door.

I have a black Honda Civic hatchback (1.5ltr)
It's my babyIt's got electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, air conditioning, power steering. Only thing it that it's 10 years old now, but it's still driving perfectly.
Actually I have 2 cars (can't sell the other one)
I would recommend buying a civic anyday.
