    Remote cron tab with php

So my host doesnt allow cron tabs. But i have a friends who's does. What I would like to do is have his run a cron once a day on a local file on his machine. That file would then somehow fopen, send a fake header, etc.. to a file on my machine. Boo yah i got a remote cron tab.

Just wondering if anyone had some sample code or a php function that would do this. I know i have done it before but i completly forgot how to do it. I know i wouldnt use fopen. I think you can send a header but i cant find any documentation on it.

if the script you want to run each day is accessible through your webserver, just use a "lynx -source http://www.xxxx.com > output.txt" command in the cron..or use "fetch"..both should do the same.
