Monitoring and managing growth of a forum

    Hello everyone,

We're getting close to the launch of our new forum website (VB 2.2.9), and as we're installing the last hacks, I'm beginning to wonder how I should best monitor and manage the growth of the site.

I see the reports I can run via 'statistics', but wonder if there are other things that might give me a better insight into the state of the site at that moment.

Are there other reports you run, other software you use to better see how your forum is doing?

Probably good while your forum is just starting out, get email notification of new members. That way you can tell how many new members your forums get per day and the more the better

There is a hack called vBstats I think. It displays forum hit information and statistics. I haven't used it but I've seen it and it looks nice, you may want to check that out.

Yeah, you can install vbStats, or you can even use a standard site tracking script like PowerPhlogger (phpee.com).

I think I've seen the hack around.

    Good ideas. Thanks!
