    FB, Twit Follow buttons

Searching FB, I see the 'like' button seems to be the closest thing to a standard button. http://developers.facebook.com/docs/.../plugins/like/ But what if a website visitor only wants to visit the FB page? Is the website operator forced to make/find his or her own button and link himself? Recall seeing somewhere where they only recommend using the new plugin buttons. Still looking for their policy on making/downloading your own buttons...

Searching Twit, I see their follow http://twitter.com/about/resources/buttons#follow but what about any buttons gotten from thrid party sources, same question -- would rather not go with the minute graphic. Possibly larger & shaded to my site colors / javascript rollover effect -- anyone know their policy on this/page resource?

You're not limited to using their own buttons.. you can use any graphic and link it to your social media page with regular html.

Di they specify what can be used as their buttons? (dimensions, font, etc)

Not as far as I know, and even if they do, they're unlikely to enforce it!
