Thanks! Very cool quote, by the way...

    Here's a really easy one:

    MOVIE:
    -------------------
    (in Prison)
"More and more my thoughts turned to Edwina...and I couldn't help but think that a brighter future lay ahead. A future that was only 8-14 months away..."

You're just not "down" with pop culture I guess. I just hope it sticks to more mainstream movies. My last one isn't too mainstream...but more of a cult classic - hillarious movie, by the way.

Here are a few for you to figure out:

    1. "What day is it? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Wendsday..."

    2. "Esere or non essere, questo il problema"

    3. "Poetic thou art thee, for favor lies it's hand in me"

Ugh...as if it wasn't easy enough anyway.

It's directed by Joel and Ethan Cohen...directors of "The Hudsucker Proxy"...it's a cult classic, and was ranked 31st (around there) on AFI's Top 100 Funniest Movies of all time.

    No IMDB either!

The author of my quote was actually a 19th century poet called William Whiting, but you got the film right!

    Aw c'mon...this is pathetic!

Alright: it stars Nicholas Cage, was made in the 80s, was named to AFI's Top 100 Funniest Movies of All Time (about 31st I think), and it features John Goodman in a smaller role.

If no one gets it now, I officially pity you all.

RAISING ARIZONA - all time chicken favorite!!!!!!

PS, knew it when I read, "More and more my thoughts turned to Edwina..." - didn't need all those other hints

    Mine:
"Now, she should be good looking, but we're willing to trade looks for a certain...morally casual attitude."

Just the name of the movie, as I forget who said it exactly. Good luck!

"I never let schooling interfere with my education."

"Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of congress; but I repeat myself."

These are from the same author, and consequently not from any movie...

    It shouldn't be hard.

Caddy Shack! - a must see! That and Raising Arizona, soooo good!

The full quote to that one above is:

"so i jump ship in hong kong and make my way over to tibet, and i get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. so i tell them i'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The dalai lama himself; tweflth son of the lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. so i'm on the first tee with him, i give him the driver. he hauls off and whacks one (big hitter, the lama) long into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. do you know what the lama says? gunga galunga -- gunga -- "gunga lagunga." so we finish the 18th hole and he's gonna stiff me. so i says, "hey, lama, hey, how bout a little something, you know, for the effort, you know?" and he says "oh, uh, there wont be any money, but when you die, on your death-bed, you will recieve total consiousness." so i got that goin for me. which is nice"

Whups, forgot the new quote.... here's an easy one:

"At the age of fourteen, a Zoastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles."
