Maybe those phones have more consideration for their users.

Seriously, starting to play music automatically when someone lands on the homepage is one of the most obnoxious things you can do. You don't know what else that person is doing, you don't know where they are. They could be listening to music or watching TV, they could be having a conversation, they could be in a crowded or public space (eg train, library), they could even be sneaking in a bit of mobile browsing at work. If I'm in one of those situations and a website starts playing music at me without any kind of warning, I will not only leave that website and never return but I will also do what I can to hurt that website's reputation. It just is not an acceptable thing to do.

The solution is not to automatically play music when people visit your site.
