php/mySQL book

Help,

Have been using various tutorials to get to grips with these two, and they have been great (Cheers Kyank!). I would love however to buy a comprehensive book, preferably with software cd included. I know a few such books exists - and that this is a dangerous question - but which would be best to buy?

i will hold off on recommending php books, although i have Core PHP by Leon Atkinson and use it as a reference. It is intermediate to advanced.

An absolute dream is MySql by duBois. Good examples, basic to advances, tips galore, great book.

What kind of software?? For what OS? I have PHP/MySQL/Apache running on my Win98 comp and I use the red Wrox book and the PHP Manual (http://www.php.net) for all of my PHP needs and the MySQL Manual (http://www.mysql.com) for MySQL.

"Professional PHP Programming" from Wrox Press is a good choice. All or some of the authors are members of the PHP team. http://www.wrox.com

Cheers all for answers. Have now got hold of something which looks very promising "PHP fast and easy web development" by Julie C Meloni.

Includes disk with php4, apache and mySQL. Looks like I'll be spendin yet more sleepless nights!

LOL! You will never guess what I bought tonight ... That exact same book.. Then I come home and see that you bought it!!
Great book.... I also picked up Core PHP Programming.
