    height attributes in IE 6

Been looking at the ALA style layout at http://glish.com/css/9.asp and there's something I don't understand: In the attributes for the leftcontent div, width is defined by percentage. If you take out the content from the div (so that the text doesn't extend beyond the right hand menu) and add a height attribute (defined by percentage), then the right hand menu slips underneath the leftcontent div. This doesn't happen if the height attribute is defined by pixel.

Why does IE6 recognise width when defined by percentage, but not height?

    Hope this is clear...

    Thanks. That makes sense.
