Im creating an online photography portfolio.

I have mulitple digital images in .tif format that I want to optimize for my website.
Any recommendations in terms of: format/compression/decreasing loading time.

Most graphics programs can do that for you. If you talking about a web page to do it try http://www.mediabuilder.com or http://www.spinwave.com

File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery

There are many CGI scripts and other software to create photographic galleries and graphic editors to format your images for the web - PhotoShop being one of the best.
